About the NSW Mining Industry

While it doesn’t get as much press coverage as the QLD and WA mining industry, the numbers mentioned at the top of this page definitely show that the NSW mining and resources industry is big and there are a lot of workers and families that are benefiting from  it.

NSW has a rich history in mining, with coal, gold, copper, lead, zinc and other metals, industrial minerals and construction materials are also mined in NSW (Source: Trade & Investment NSW). With production running past $20 billion dollars a year, and boasting the worlds largest coal export port, it is safe to say that mining is big business in the state.
